Setting aside the fuss about refereeing the game (more here and here), Sunday’s Old Firm derby at Ibrox has the making of a title decider.

If Rangers win then they will be pretty much certain of retaining the SPL top spot. Should that happen Celtic will be 10 points adrift and Rangers will have a game in hand and that’s a mountain that Celtic just won’t be able to climb on current form.

If Celtic win they close the gap to 4 points which could easily be closed further despite Rangers still having that one game in hand. After all Rangers have had a few slips and a couple of close calls this season.

As for a draw well, as Chick Young says, that will be as useful to Celtic “as brake lights on a Toyota”!

Which result is the most likely? The way both teams have been playing this time round its anyone’s guess but I reckon it will be a lacklustre draw (probably goal-less) as both teams will rise to the occasion but neither will be willing to risk defeat.
