Glad to hear that the Sunday ferry to Lewis is proving popular. It’s something that the island needed for a long time and this has been borne out by the volume of traffic.
I reckon the Sunday ferry will make a big difference for the Hebridean Celtic Festival this year as it will make the Saturday night a much bigger occasion. Those attending the festival will be able to leave on the Sunday rather than having to leave on Saturday, missing the final night, so that they can be certain of getting back to work on Monday.
Now, if only Sunday Golf can be introduced in time for the festival. That give some of those who’ll leave on the Sunday a reason to stay on until the Monday after playing a couple of rounds of golf on a very fine course.
Mmm, judging by the lack of disapproving lightning strikes to indicate otherwise, I assume that the Sunday ferry must also be more popular with the almighty than some of his followers would have us believe.
Oh no, wait, there have been no disapproving lightning strikes because … the almighty doesn’t exist!
