The BBC news article on the rejection of the Lewis Wind Power proposal can be found here.
The more I think about it, the more I believe that Jim Mather is lying. The government’s rejection of this proposal shows no commitment to “helping the renewable energy sector in the Western Isles”.
If there was evidence of such a commitment then there should have been some attempt to forge a compromise rather than to reject the matter outright. I wonder what would have happened if this proposal had directly affected Mr. Mather’s constituency bringing a potential for improved income, lower power costs, and a contribution to the planet’s ecology? Or the constituency of one of his significant parliamentary colleagues?
