Well done, Celtic! 6 games left in the SPL and the league is already won with a 20 point margin. And Gordon Strachan’s men secure their second trophy this season. Not bad at all after that dismal start against Artmedia.
This should mean automatic qualification to the group stage of the Champion’s League next season. It would be really good not to have to undergo the nail-biting of the qualification phase but we need to wait and see for a few more weeks. Results elsewhere in Europe may yet mean qualification.
And of course, you have to say well done to Hearts too. Even though the battle for second spot is not yet over, they fought to the death last night and could easily have secured a draw and spoiled the Celtic party. I still think they will hold on and finish second and the Scottish Cup is all but theirs now, so a very good season for them as well.
After grabbing the single goal that won last night’s game, it will be a real shame if John Hartson were to leave the club. He has scored lots of goals in his time at Parkhead and an awful lot of them have been pivotal in securing important wins. I think all Celtic fans would prefer that he stayed so, if you’re reading this John, please don’t go!!!
