I took a degree in Computing when I went to college and for the most part, college was a good laugh. Lots of parties, games of pool, excessive drinking and the like. Of course, we went to the occasional lecture too.
In one, the lecturer was telling us about the different ways in which data is transferred across a network. This guy was particularly condescending and treated us all as if we were pretty thick. So, he was going on about packets and how they were transmitted serially from node to node on a network. I guess he must have decided we weren’t paying attention because at that point he turned from the board and asked, very patronizingly: “And what’s in the packets?”
Cheeky sod, I thought and shouted the first answer that came to mind.
