I also watched Prince Charles being “interviewed” about his impending marriage by various journalists. William and Harry were also present and none of the three looked happy.
No wonder given the inane questions they were being subjected to. Little wonder then that Charles should mutter about those “bloody people” and “he’s so awful” when referring to one reporter in particular.
If I were being subjected to that kind of attention, I’d have more to say than just that and I’d be much less diplomatic. I say, well done, Prince Charles. The press, on occasion, need to be taken down a peg or two and have to learn that asking an impertinent question does not always set you on the way to a pertinent answer. Sometimes it will get you a public put-down or a smack in the mouth.
As I said in an earlier post, why can’t Charles and Camilla be left alone to get married in peace. It’s a private matter, even if he is the heir to the throne, and should be treated as such. If the press won’t respect him, why should he respect them.
