End Of The Line

I was very sad to note that Arthur C. Clarke has died at the age of 90. I’ve read quite a few of his books and short stories and I can’t think of one that I didn’t enjoy. He was well ahead of his time and some of his sci-fi imaginings have now become things on which we rely in our everyday lives.

Of the books of his that I have read, Childhood’s End remains a particular favourite as does the movie 2001: A Space Oddessy – despite it’s brain-bending ending.
