I saw a headline in a paper today that asked the question “Have We Lost Respect For Politicians?”
My immediate response was to think that the question that should be asked is have politicians lost respect for us?
Let’s face it, the way some of them carry on these days hardly shows respect for either their position or the people that put them there. Too many of them seem to think they can treat the electorate like simpletons and that a little bleating and false penitence will earn them our forgiveness. Isn’t time we told the whole bloody lot of them where to get off?
